Westech's baffle design virtually eliminates the effects of surging by confining the water in up to 21 separate cells, further divided by a transverse baffle.
Increased Water Capacity
An additional benefit of the Westech baffle design is that the tank itself becomes an enormous structural member, allowing for a lighter weight tank which translates into additional payload and less operating cost.
Low Maintenance
Westech's unique internal baffle design provides high section modules (engineering measurement of strength). The corregated internal baffles give the tank both significantly greater strength, and the elimination of weld damage due to water surge. An added benefit is full liner coverage with superior rust prevention. The tank bottom has a natural sump for ease of cleaning and tank draining. Gravity priming of the pump is assured, as all Westech Tankers have a flooded suction inlet.
Improved Safety
In addition to the front access ladder, optional stairs and handrails are provided from the front of the tank to the tank access hatch. Tank access is ergonomic and safe, as all internal compartments have access steps. The large fill port, located in a recessed channel behind the water dam, insures that any overfill flows away from the cab and deck to the rear of the truck.
